REVIEWS 2013
Our good friend decided that Italy may be a great spot to celebrate his big birthday in. That’s how come 11 people from Australia found ourselves at the stunning hotel Onde Verde situated in between Positano and Amalfi at Praiano, a hotel fashioned into the side of a cliff overlooking the blue, blue Mediterranean sea. Not just any hotel mind you but one where the owners, staff, rooms, ambiance, food & drinks were second to none – just ask Pierce Brosnan or Jessica Alba, as they stayed there too. A family run hotel with great atmosphere, gorgeous rooms and views and food to die for and a handsome chef to bout! A couple of people in our group had special dietary requirements which were catered for superbly. I think perhaps all of us fell a little in love with Italy and everything Italian- their passion, the language, scenery, people, wine & Limoncello and of course the food. Our package included breakfast and dinner, more food than we could ever finish and of the highest quality. One of us (not mentioning any names) always complains in restaurants but even he did not have anything but praise for the food. The package included 2 trips one to Pompeii/Vesuvius and the other to the Island of Capri which were really good. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and think the weeks package was fantastic and would certainly love to go back in the future.
Arriving in October 2013 at this little piece of heaven was a highlight of our 3 week Italian vacation. After a busy week in Rome and a touring week in Tuscany, it was wonderful to "attempt" to sit still for a week in Praiano! The drop-dead gorgeous setting should have enabled us to do just that, but there was so much to see on the Amalfi Coast and in nearby Praiano and Positano. The hotel was absolutely lovely, with rooms larger than anticipated, and hotel staff that were extremely helpful and pleasant. Being able to walk from the hotel up up up to the Footpath of the Gods, or in to Praiano, was a joy. The sea wall walks with waves crashing, the fantastic view, and being able to swim in the sea and relax on deck lounge chairs absolute perfection after travelling for two weeks. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
Hotel onda verde is a family run business. Their attention to personal detail makes all the difference in your over all experience. My family and I had the pleasure of spending 8days in Hotel onda verde. The rooms are very clean , the views of the sea from each room are exquisite. It is centrally located between Amalfi and Positano. There is not a town to walk to although there are wonderful paths to explore. Dinners were our favorite, the chief Nichol treated us like family making a special meal at our request. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting great views, good food and friendly professional service.
This hotel was a great choice for our stay on the Amalfi..(three nights)
There was free undercover parking above the Hotel. The Onda Verde is built into the side of the mountain and the sea view from our room was beautiful.. Awesome sunrises and wonderful sunsets.
Our room was clean and spacious. The room was decorated in the style for the area..beautiful looking tiles (probably made in Praiano) and hand painted furniture. The bathroom had a large shower.
The hotel has it's own restaurant-The Breakfasts in the morning were generous. A big variety and a great spread. Their evening menu is also very good. The service was good and so was the food.
The staff on the reception were very pleasant efficient and attentive to our needs.
We loved our early morning walks...the pathway down from the hotel onto the "main" beach...the pier area where we swam in the ocean, and where we took a water taxi from...and the walks along the mountainside, all were very easy walks.
Even although we are very fussy, we loved our stay here, and will definitely visit again for a longer time.

Just returned from 7 days at the Onda Verde Hotel. It was the last stop on our Italy vacation and a perfect spot to unwind. We chose the hotel based on the location in Praiano and on other Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! The hotel is situated just steps from the water. Water taxi service is available close by while the bus to Positano, Amalfi, and Sorrento stops across the road just outside the hotel. The village of Praiano is about 15 minutes walk along the main road or a little longer on the scenic route away from traffic. Our room was well appointed, clean and had a small terrace with chairs (a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine). The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was good (including the 'free' breakfast. I recommend visiting in September or early October to avoid the crowds. This is a great spot on the Amalfi coast.
Although we did not stay at this hotel, we utilized it for our nights out to have dinner, hang with friends and for massages. The staff is incredible on their knowledge of cuisine. They had a top shelf assorment of liquor and their facilites are great. They have an incredible elevator down to the restaurant that is ingenious from the top of the road down the cliff. We stayed directly across the street from this hotel and if we needed something we could run down and pick it up. My husband along with some friends came to Praiano to celebrate our wedding anniversarires and were treated so well. The view from the restaurant was also inredible. Our waiters were exceelent.
My wife and I along with our grown son and daughter in law spent a week at the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary (50)
My daughter in law has celiacs, and she has to have a gluten free diet.
The chef Nicola went out of his way to make sure she had a wide variety of food for her menu.
The waiters, Andrea and Jenardo are the best.
The food and the rooms were excellent.
The entire staff treated you as family and nothing was too much to ask.
Fernanda worked the front desk and always had a smile and a friendly greeting.
If you stay at the hotel, take the water taxi to Amalfi or Positano, the bus is normally very crowded.
Great views from the balcony and the rooms are very nice.
Best vacation we have ever had
What do you need in a vacation? Friendly people around you, good food and amazing scenery right? Well at this hotel you will find so friendly staff, that you would like to have them as your neighbors or family friends, the food is so tasteful and good, the view is amazing from sunrise to sunset, beautiful and romantic ;)
There is no room for any regrets staying at Onda Verde, it worth every penny.
We are recommending this hotel to all of our friends, and planing to go back to them next summer.
Oh, forgot to say the hotel and the beach can be seen in the latest Fiat 500 commercial for North America, when the Fiat is driving close to some restaurants and through the boats going in the water.
The setting of this hotel is amazing, with gorgeous sea views from the balcony of our room and also from the restaurant where you can eat on the outside terrace. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet and the dinner menu offered a nice variety of choices, and chef Nicola prepares delicious dishes, with much fresh fish. He also gives a great pasta cooking class of 2 hours that we took and loved! The staff is warm and gracious. One can swim off the stony beach or the piers (careful they can be slippery), and water taxis are readily available right at the beach below the hotel to take one to Amalfi or Positano or Capri, etc. You can go down to them and make your own reservations for trips. Praiano is a great location for a peaceful, beautiful stay away from cities. You can watch fishermen row out to sea and back morning and evenings right below you. There is a tower nearby, a short walk away, in which an artist has his gallery of interesting paintings and ceramic sculptures that he welcomes you to come and see. All in all, this is an idyllic place. We do hope to return.
We enjoyed 6 days at this beautiful hotel on a very picturesque stretch of the "Nastro Azzuro" between Amalfi and Positano. While perched on the hillside below street level all levels were accessible by elevator and access to the water via an easily graded path. Marina di Praia was virtually a private beach for the hotel guests.Nearby was the very beautiful restaurant, "Il Pirata" and some cute bars and a restaurant on the beach. But the restaurant at Onda Verde was excellent and very convenient. The restaurant staff were professional and very friendly, showing a genuine interest in pleasing their guests. The administrative staff, especially Fernanda, were friendly and efficient. The rooms were of a high standard and had good sea views. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.. We had a wonderfully relaxed and happy stay at Onda Verde.
We booked the 7 day package at this hotel and enjoyed every minute. The view from our balcony was spectacular overlooking the beach and all the walkways and steps added to the charm of this hotel. Miro Milano and his staff were friendly and eager to help us in every way. The restaurant was beautiful and dining outside was a joy, especially in the evening. The Sita buses stop outside the hotel is very convenient but they are usually crowded with tourists.
Just got home from a 11 day trip thru Italy, ending with a 3 night stay at Hotel Onda Verde and could not have picked a better place to wind down. We were traveling with a friend with significant mobility issues and, although there were parts of the property that we not accessible for her, the staff (especially Fernanda!) were so accommodating and helpful and really made us feel right at home. The views from our balcony were AMAZING, the room was very spacious and comfortable (beds were firm but not hard - more like a very firm memory foam feel), we had a delicious dinner on our first night and the daily breakfast (included in the price of the room) included fresh eggs, meats and cheeses, fruits and pastries, tomatoes and basil, crusty bread for toast, and great coffee!! This is not an inexpensive stay, but for my money, well worth the price.
This was the final week of our 3 week honeymoon in Italy. We had not told the hotel prior to our booking but they soon made us feel special .
The location was very romantic with ocean side dining in the mornings and evenings. The chef Nico was excellent, breakfast was wonderful and you could request eggs done to your liking.
Hotel staff were so helpful and positive even though they must have all been quite tired towards the end of their busy season.
Rooms were cleaned every morning and fresh towels and toiletries every day.
We stayed here for our honeymoon in early September. This hotel was fantastic. The views from out room, the public terrace areas and the restaurant are all stunning. It is a short walk down the hill to the waterfront where you can sun bath or take a boat trip.
The breakfast was very good (fruit, cakes, bread, meats, cheeses and eggs and bacon). We also dined there once during the week and we enjoyed it so much we decided to have our last dinner there too. Nero was very helpful at reception.
The walk into central Praiano (for other restaurants) is relatively steep and will take you around 20 mins but the walk is scenic and it means that Onda Verde is quieter as you are fuirther out.
Our room was one of the deluxe ones (104) and it was excellent, great view, private balcony and jacuzzi bath. Would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic stay.
If you want a relaxed, real Italian/ Amalfi experience then this hotel is perfect. We stayed for 3 nights in early August and while it was relatively expensive it was absolutely worthwhile in every way. The staff were caring and so helpful, we had exactly the short holiday we wanted thanks to their help, they organised a boat from the little cove below the hotel for our trip to Capri with swimming stops on the way - so beautiful!! The hotel itself is carved into the cliff - see photos in the front entrance/lobby of construction by the owners - the same family still run the hotel and are understandably very proud of it. Our room was lovely, from the beautiful italianate tiles and furniture to the view of the sea and our little cove - honestly difficult to find the words to describe it although incredibly beautiful comes to mind, comfortable and clean. We swam in the clear warm water of the little cove and had wonderful, fresh fish, veges and fruit from the restaurants in the cove or from the hotel - perfect. And the coffee is fabulous :-), as is the breakfast. Don't expect total luxury - this hotel is better than that.
The Hotel Onda Verde (I think the translation is "Green Wave") is a wonderful, welcoming hotel in Praiano, Italy, on the Amalfi coast. At a good friend's suggestion, I was trying to find a hotel in Ravello for my daughter, son and me for 3 days in August, but the ones I wanted were already booked. So, back to Booking.com for other suggestions and that's when I came across the website for Hotel Onda Verde.
The hotel arranged for a driver to meet us in Naples. We had been staying in Sutri, a small town about 50 km from Rome. We took the train from Rome to Naples and our driver, Gino, was there to guide us to his car for the 1.5 hour drive to Praiano. He stopped along the way so we could take a few photos of the beautiful Amalfi coast. We arrived at the hotel and immediately were shown to our room, which was beautiful and included a large bathroom with a great shower as well as a private patio overlooking the beach and elegant villas built into the hills of Amalfi.
Nickolai (hope I'm spelling his name correctly) is the chef at Onda Verde and he is awesome! We ate a beautifully prepared breakfast at the hotel each morning. Every morning Nickolai had a special treat for hotel guests. One morning it was pizza and another morning the fried sugar-coated donuts that Italians and all of us tourists enjoy. The dinners were delicious and we filled up on fresh fish, mussels, clams and shrimp.
The staff was courteous and attentive. We took a day trip to Amalfi by water taxi. Our only disappointment was a rain on the day we planned to go to the beach. Instead, we staying in our comfortable room and read and napped until the rain ended. Then we took a 20-minute walk to the town of Praiano and had dinner at La Strada, a restaurant recommended by our concierge. If you go to Praiano, don't miss this restaurant! We had the best pizza there and that's saying a lot since we ordered pizza in Rome and Naples!
Our three days in Amalfi were one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend the Hotel Onda Verde if you're planning to visit this marvelous place!
Wow, what can I say, we were on honeymoon and fell in love with the pictures online of the hotel and were very excited before we arrived. Well, on arrival, we were delighted :0) our sea view suite was just beautiful and to top it off they gave us room 106 with a large private balcony complete with comfy sun loungers, we stayed 8 nights and 2 of those days we didn't even leave the room / balcony, we could sunbathe, enjoy the delights from the mini bar and watch the tourists having fun in the water below without exiting our room :0). Of course we did get out and about on the other days, we did a night boat trip to Positano recommended by the wonderful Milano family who own the hotel, to watch celebration fireworks from the private little boat, it was amazing! We purchased all day bus tickets from the hotel reception, to Amalfi Town and Ravello, an absolute must! Next time we go we will also try the boat taxi's! We did a private boat trip to the Island of Capri, taking in all the little Islands and Coves on the way, again booked directly by the hotel, it was wonderful :0). We swam in the clear waters of the bay below, just a short stroll down a gentle slope, so much more natural and refreshing than a swimming pool. Breakfast was always magnificent, an abundance of fresh fruits, homemade pastries, breads, hams, eggs and bacon, far too much to choose from! We ate twice in the Onda Verde Restaurant, by far the best meals we had on our entire 16 night honeymoon, most memorable was the baby squid stuffed with home grown vegetables and that was just for starters ... the entire menu was just delicious and compliments to the wonderful chef who was always very charming :0) the entire staff, especially Francesco and his father, were so welcoming and caring and always concerned about how our day had been and if we were making the most of our days out and always very informative of what to do and where to go, we felt as though we were part of the family!! We are already planning our trip for next year to the Onda Verde and I'm sure it will become a regular holiday destination for us as we absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous family run hotel :0) thank you to the very caring Milano family and staff!!
Best value for money, the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. The view and location of the hotel is perfect, food at the restaurant was superb. Hotel room was clean and well looked after. I'm trying to balance this review with some negative comments however cannot find any. I must thank Sophia, Andrew from the restaurant, Francesco and the lady at reception whose name I can't remember for being so nice and for making our honeymoon enjoyable. I recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay at Praiano. You won't be disappointed.
My husband and I stayed at Onde Verde from July 29th to August 09th and it was an oasis of
serenity and relaxation. The room was beautiful, overlooking the sea, and the hotel staff(Fernanda,Francesco, Miro and Sophia were very helpful and welcoming. The location of this hotel provides easy access to all major areas . We chose their special 7 day package, which included breakfast and supper as well as 2 excursions. The food prepared by Chef Nicola was
outstanding. His passion for food equals his passion for life! Breakfast always included the
freshest fruits, fresh homemade ricotta cheese, breads, biscotti, italian cookies and the best
scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Breakfast provided an opportunity to taste foods that are typical to the region.Delizioso!! The evening meals were an incredible experience....fresh products prepared with tremendous love.Chef Nicola and the foods he prepares are a highlight of this resort! We'll be back
I stayed at Hotel Onda Verde for 9 glorious days on the recommendation of a girlfriend who was ecstatic about her stay there. It was everything she told me and more. The amazing family who own the hotel along with their fabulous staff could not have done any more to ensure my stay was memorable in every respect.
Loved thepeaceful location away from the hurly burly world of Positano and Amalfi. A water taxi was a great means of transport to these fabulous neighbouring villages. The hotel is positioned well for visits to these famous places. Dont miss visiting Ravello and if the concert season is in full swing attending one of these at Villa Rufolo is a once in a lifetime experience.
Miro, Francesca, Fernanda, Sophia and Nicola I will return to once again immerse myself in your care. The beautiful atmosphere and stunning views and all of you will entice me back!!
Hotel Onda Verde was one of the top highlights from our trip to Italy.
The staff was so accommodating and helpful in all ways. The staff at the desk were very patient with us in answering all of our questions and directing us to our room. We can’t say enough good things about how welcome the chef, Nicola, made us at the hotel. We met him shortly after we checked in when he fixed us lunch before the lunch hour. He was so pleasant to talk to and told us about the special dishes he was fixing for dinner. We had his special dishes and desserts each evening and they were outstanding. He also sent some things to our table that we didn’t order and although we were full, we ate each and every one of them. He is an asset to this hotel.
The breakfast was by far the largest breakfast we had in any of our other hotels and it was wonderful.
Our room was large, as was the bathroom. We had a wonderful view of the coast and the beach from our room.
We chose this hotel in part because of the close location to the beach. After riding the bus from Sorrento to the hotel, we were glad we could walk to the beach and not have to take the bus to one.
If we are ever back to the Amalfi Coast again, we will definitely be staying here again.
We loved it and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place on the Amalfi coast.
This hotel is an Italian national treasure, and will be the favorite part of your visit to the Amalfi Coast. Set in a peaceful cove a world away from the traffic and crowds to the North and South, Onda Verde will soothe your soul and fulfill your every need. The staff, accommodations and location cannot be equaled anywhere in Italy. Fernanda and Emilio at the front desk are world-class hosts, and the restaurant serves up the daily bounty of the seas and orchards surrounding you. We will return to this unforgettable gem.
The Milano family is first class. When my wife and I checked in they introduced themselves to us one by one and shook our hands. The views are incredible. We stayed in a deluxe double room, which is just one floor up from the reception and restaurant. The room was spacious and clean with an excellent view, as most of the other reviewers have said.
If you want lots of activity, stay in Positano where you can be shoulder-to-shoulder with sweaty tourists while walking through crowded streets. The best way to experience this hotel is to completely skip Capri (the hotel area is just as pretty, less crowded, and less expensive) and go check out Positano via bus for one small day trip. Also, to get to the hotel, take the train to Salerno, a ferry to Amalfi, and then a water taxi to the hotel. It's faster, less crowded, and less nauseating.
If you book a stay here, don't complain about how there is nothing to do. Stare outside at the beautiful views, relax, swim, maybe even read a book. If you have other objectives, you should stay in one of the other more populated cities.
It's a pet peeve of mine when people write reviews that complain about breakfast. Italy is not a breakfast country. However, this hotel had, by far, the best breakfast during our 2.5 weeks in Italy. The chef made some kind of amazing pastry with blueberry creme on top. He laughed at me because I kept eating them. The next day he smiled and pointed to where they were located on the buffet. There were all sorts of other great things there too. A waiter was even walking around offering people fresh scrambled eggs. That's pretty rare in Italy. This hotel went above and beyond for breakfast.
My husband and I had the good fortune to spend 8 nights at Hotel Onda Verde and if it were possible we'd be flying back there tomorrow. This gem of a hotel, which nestles into the cliff edge at Praiano, not only provides breathtaking panoramic views which stretch down the coast and out to sea, it also provides the opportunity to dive and swim directly below the hotel. The dining room and terraces have all been designed to afford guests maximum advantage of the views and the serenity of this beautiful environment. We loved our deluxe room with seaview and terrace. It was spacious and quiet and, along with the rest of the hotel, kept in spotless condition. Fresh fruits, juices, a variety of cereals, scrambled eggs and bacon and an array of pastries and cakes are served daily for breakfast and we enjoyed our evening meals (particularly the fresh seafood options) which were generous in proportion.
Having previously based Amalfi coast holidays in both Positano and Ravello, we consider this Praiano hotel to be the pick of the bunch for its seclusion from the hustle and bustle of tourist laden towns, while at the same time providing easy access for public transport, by land or sea, up and down the coast. I cannot sing the praises of the Milano family highly enough. Their hard-working professionalism and care is exceptional. Prior to our arrival every email query was responded to promptly and thoughtfully and, once we were there, the high standard of care continued. Not only this, but they are scrupulously honest and prepared "to walk the extra mile" to meet tourist needs. One day we accidentally left our safe open - something we've never done before! - and after being politely advised of our slip up we returned to our room to find our possessions exactly as we'd left them. Then, on our last morning as we were being driven to Naples airport, I realized that I'd left treasured earrings of great sentimental value on the dressing table in our room. I was reassured by phone that they would be safely posted to my home address across the other side of the world and sure enough they were securely delivered to my front door. I sincerely thank the Milano family for their efforts on my behalf. They are treasures and we look forward to joining up with them again.
My wife and I spent a fabulous 6 nights at Onda Verde, the Milano family was terrific and catered to all our needs. I had never been to this hotel or Praiano for that matter but have visited the Amalfi coast previously for my family resides in Agerola, I selected the hotel based on some of the reviews I read on Tripadvisor and seeing photos of the hotel. Well it was a home run and far exceeded our expectations. It is located right on the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean, the sites were breathtaking, waking up each morning to the vibrant blue color of the sea which interestingly enough turned shades of green by the southern most beach of Praiano, thus onda verde or green wave. The food was excellent at the hotel, breakfast had just about everything you wanted and the servers were most accommodating and should you decide to eat dinner there which I highly recommend it was fabulous, every meal was perfect. The Chef, Nicola is terrific, we were fortunate enough to have a cooking class with him and both my wife and I enjoyed every moment of it plus we learned some simple steps to improve our pasta making ability. Thanks you so much, Fernanda, Nicola and the entire Milano family for welcoming me and our entire family to your hotel and home, we will be back!!!
after researching and deciding btwn Priano and Positano i chose Priano and found this gem of a hotel. It was truly something special and our balcony overlooked the sea...we never wanted to leave. Also location is off from the town, but bus station is outside hotel (up top) and boat docks to and from other towns and capri is 5 min walk. So great location, great staff so friendly and helpful, and great restaurant. The only negative is our stay was too short. Would love to return!
My partner, Alex, and I have just returned from a long weekend's stay at the Onda Verde. We can truly say that the hotel is one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in. The pictures online barely do it justice - the views are beyond compare. Miro and his staff could not have done more to help us particularly as they helped my partner to propose to me in the restaurant on our first night whilst sitting overlooking the beautiful ocean lit up by moonligh by arranging a table with flowers and applauding us upon my acceptance! They made a special evening even more so for us. The food is wonderful, fresh and simply cooked to order - there is loads of choice for breakfast including croissants, freshly baked pastries or scrambled egg etc. Dinners were mainly seafood and had the most wonderful flavour. The rooms are very clean with gorgeous traditional italian design features and all have the famous views and by night all you can hear is the crash of the ocean on the rocks below. We recommend the sun terrace in the good weather and both Positano and Amalfi are worth a visit by local bus - as long as you have the stomach for a hair-raising winding road journey! We look forward to returning one day. Thank you Onda Verde!
Thanks to the entire staff of the Onda Verde for making our stay a delight. This was our first trip to the Amalfi coast and we were overwhelmed by the breathtaking views. The Owner Mr. Milano and his family were very warm and friendly and attended to our every need. From help with the Sita bus schedule to excursions to Capri. We were impressed by the absolute cleanliness of the hotel. They go above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast were also very delicious and the view is awesome and the wait staff are very eager to please. I would not dream of ever staying anywhere else on the Amalfi coast as this hotel is central to all the towns and villages in the area.
Our Room 109 had a perfect view.We didn't need air conditioning at night because the louvered doors would allow an ocean breeze and the sound of the surf against the rocks made it easy to get to sleep at night.
The meals at the restaurant were very reasonably priced and we did eat there 3 nights out of 7.
Breakfast comes with the room and if you arrive at 10am their official closing time, no problem, they are very accommodating. There are several other restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so your eating choices are not limited while staying here, but the hotel restaurant was my favorite. They have an extensive wine list but our favorite was some of the local red wines (vino rosso) and they are reasonably priced.
Overall one of our best vacations ever!
I stayed on the Hotel Onda Verde from May 17 - May 24th. This hotel and staff went beyond my expectations. My room was spotless. The views are heavenly. And the sound of the sea crashing up to the rocks is a dream. The food is delicious. Sitting out on the terrace eating your dinner is a dream come true. Words can really not describe it. There is the little beach right below and there are two lovely restaurants there as well. It's so nice to sit and chat with the locals. I did three trips while there. Capri, Ravello and Positano. All amazing. The staff at the front desk will make sure you have the best time. Thank you so much for being so good to me during my holiday. It meant the world to me. I will definitely return one day for sure! Without a doubt.

We cannot say thank you enough for such a wonderful 8 nights in your beautiful hotel. We loved everything, the immaculate suite, large balcony with our own sun loungers, watching the other tourists having fun in the sea below, watching the beautiful small boats come and go, swimming in the clear sea water to cool down, the night boat trip to Positano to watch the celebration fire works, the day trip on the gorgeous boat Panthera to Capri, taking in all the small islands and coves on the way, the short bus rides to Amalfi Town and Ravello, and the fact we could purchase all the tickets required direct from reception. Mostly we just loved getting to know the wonderful Milano family and staff, and are already looking forward to visiting again next year because there is still so much to see and do on your beautiful Amalfi Coast :0) thank you again, the hotel is molto buono, bello, magnifico scenario, ci piace!

We celebrated our 40th anniversary & daughter's graduation for eight truly magnificient days! Each & every person that works here is available as if you are the only ones staying at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are amazing, the views are spectacular. We have traveled to other parts of Italy, but none quite as lovely as this. The staff where you take the water taxis & even the restaurants in the cove welcomed you as family. We will definately return & we cannot thank those at the Onda Verde enough for making this our best trip ever!

We just returned home to England (end of April 2013) from a short visit to this wonderful Hotel in such a magnificent location. The family run hotel was both relaxing and fun. The views are at least as good as the brochure photos if not better. The food from the competent and adventurous superb Chef was a delight. Rooms were great and much larger than other hotels we have stayed at in this area. Check in was easy & trouble free & the hotel offers free parking. The hotel restaurant Sommelier was most informative & helpful on recommending different wines with the varied courses we enjoyed, One might expect him to have encouraged an expensive vintage but in fact our most costly was only $25 and worthy of much more! He was a gem and so attentive. He obviously enjoys his occupation and chatted at our table with us about the many different wines of the area. We were made to feel most welcome, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. This is a really exciting area to visit and this Hotel is going to always get rapidly full each year. This is a genuine review without bias and we are already seeking to return as soon as we can. Do not concern to ask which rooms are “best†as there are none less than best! Thank you to the Milano family for making a short vacation so enjoyable and luxury so affordable, your efforts well deserves the small but heartfelt praise we bestow here. Magnificent & Recommended to all! Chris Jenny & Loraine.
