We had a very nice room, with a big terace.Fresh lines every day!! We was afraid for the parking space, because we came by car,but we have no problems.Beautifull and excellent views from our terace to Marina di Praia and the same from the restaurant, where Chef Nicola was serve nice dinner ,with fresh vegetable and excellent seafood!! Breakfast was great too...fresh fruits and cooked meals. They take care on everything, from the morning ,to assure the transfer to/from the beach(One Fire Cala di Gavitella) with water taxi,or to Positano;also we have a nice day tour to Capri Island. They make good choices for us when we ask for advice.Thank you again to all for the nice days you make us..wait to come back again!!

We have just returned from a wonderful lvacation on the Amalfi Coast, staying at the beautiful Hotel Onda Verde for 8 nights. This hotel is truly a family run business, starting with the front desk to behind the scenes in the kitchen. We found everyone to be friendly, helpful, and courteous. Miro Milano and Francesco Milano, his son, ran the reservation procedure and the scheduling of excursions flawlessly. Our room was spotlessly cleaned, along with fresh linens every day. The Superior room that we had reserved, met our expectations. There were two lounge chairs overlooking the cliffs, marina, and the bay. We had a large bathroom with tub and shower. The dining experience was exceptional. The food was fresh, nicely presented, and plentiful. The meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruit were brought in daily. The head chef Nicola did an exceptional job. Not only cooking for all people dining, but one of our party had to eat Gluten Free. He made sure that we always had gluten free bread and deserts, and he went the extra mile to make home made gluten free ravioli. The wait staff of Andrea and Gennaro were great. From a cheerful "Buon Giorno" in the morning to "Buona Sera" in the evening, they made the dining elegant and yet casual. The hotel was located within walking distance to the center of Priano and between the towns of Amalfi and Positano. The SITA bus stop was in front of the hotel. Bus tickets could be purchased at the front desk which was very convenient. The water taxi was available just below the hotel for travel to Capri, Amalfi, and Positano. The ease of travel to and from the airport by a private driver, was includedin our package, which made that part of our travel stress free. We spent 8 days exploring the Amalfi Coast, and our selecting of choosing Hotel Onda Verde, was the best decision we could have made. Hotel Onda Verde is truly a getaway, and the Amalfi Coast is magnificent.
We can't wait to return. Grazie Milano Famiglia.
“Best view, Best Hotel.... ever.”
My wife and I took a 10 day vacation in Italy and we spent 3 of our days in Praiano in this hotel. This was the highlight of our vacation and I wish we could have just stayed here for 10 days! We WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK. There are now about 10 members of our family who saw the videos we took of this hotel, and they started packing their bags. The view is the BEST on the Amalfi Coast. Period.
The hotel is amazing and the staff is even better. So helpful and great English, because my Italian is horrible. (Typical American) The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the chef and wait staff are so friendly and always know exactly the right selection for you if you can't make up your mind. Great wines, and the chef goes out fishing each night when he gets off to catch tomorrows meal! What a peaceful and serene stay. I can't say enough about how both of us loved it. The location is the best, with awesome views everywhere and far enough from the craziness of Amalfi so you can just relax. It's also close enough to be in Amalfi and Positano in less than 10 minutes.
The thing that I hate about typing this review is that if people read it they may want to stay here, AND WE WANT IT ALL TO OURSELVES! We checked out a ton of other places while we were on the coast and couldn’t find a single one better than this. Just stay here, you'll see. And it's reasonably priced! I can't say it enough; wonderful experience, excellent staff and amazing views everywhere. Oh yeah and they have easy parking (a must on these roads) and great access to many walking paths in the area, you won't be bored here, even if you never get in a car.
The rest of our vacation was spent in Rome and Tuscany. I won't say skip Tuscany, because it is equally amazing in its own right, but in a different way. Skip Rome, skip Venice, skip Milan, go to Priaiano and just stay in Hotel Onde Verde. You won't be disappointed.
“25th wedding anniversary at Onde Verde”
On our way home from a fantastic six days at the Onde Verde hotel. Beautiful views along the coast line from our room and the restaurant. Excellent food and service, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There were lovely flowers throughout the hotel, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Praiano is a quiet and peaceful village a welcome sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of nearby Positano and Amalfi. The hotel organised two trips for us, one to Pompei and Vesuvius and the other to Capri by boat from the nearby quay. Both were excellent. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

“Excelent”
This place is at the door of Paradise. We have been there for eight days. This was a too short stay considering the beauty of that area. Im sure we will get back there as soon as possible. I strongly recomend it.
“A Place to Revisit”
Our family had a wonderful stay at Onda Verde. The room was nice size with a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast was great, we especially enjoyed the bruchetta that the chef fixed along with his special of the day. One day it was chocolate cake...my granddaughter thought it a real treat. We ate lunch the day we arrived. Some of the best pasta we had on the trip. Staff was accomodating, especially when it came to parking the car and arranging for our early departure. I wish they had of told us that the restaurants in town would pick us up and bring us back to the hotel before the last night. However the restaurants around the corner on the beach were a delight. We had water taxis everyday for our trips to Amalfi, Capri and Positano. The way to go although much more expensive than taking the bus. Worth every penny.
We look forward to returning. I will recommend to my friends.
“Stay at Onda Verde Hotel, 14-16 May, 2014”
I have stayed in a number of hotels in Europe and in my opinion this is a very underrated hotel - it should be at least a five star! It's small size makes for a very friendly and intimate atmosphere with both staff and other guests. Each room has a sea view and balcony and there are numerous places to relax. There are many activities and trips that the staff is only too happy to help you with, and there are many amenities, including a world class beautiful dining room overlooking the sea and a chef who is a fisherman and gives cooking classes for those who are interested in preparing Amalfi Coast specialities. There is car parking at the hotel but I would recommend a car from the airport or train which the hotel can arrange - the roads are very narrow - there are bus services that stop at the hotel and water taxis at the town pier. The town Praiano is quiet and relaxed as compared to Positano which is quite a zoo unless you want to shop at Ferragamo - they have those in New York and Atlanta too so why bother. I cannot say enough about the friendliness and assistance of the staff - Francesca at the desk in particular. You will have a great and relaxing stay there!
“A Wonderful Hotel”
We came across Hotel Onda Verde 4 years ago while visiting the Amalfi Coast. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant a couple of times on that trip and promised when we returned to the area we would have to stay at the hotel as well. We just returned from that trip and our stay at Onda Verde. It was every bit as wonderful as we had hoped. The staff is most welcoming and attentive. The food was a great as we had remembered. The views from our terrace as well as the common terraces were fantastic. We had an exceptional experience here and highly recommend it.
“Where Heaven Meets The Sea!”
I began planning our trip to the Amalfi Coast last year and after much research and looking at many, many hotels in the area, came across the Hotel Onda Verde. I instantly knew that this would be the perfect place to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year (and also both mine and my husband's birthdays). I was not wrong! We spent 11 nights at this gorgeous hotel. The hotel itself and its surroundings are beautiful, our room was lovely with a private terrace overlooking the sea which is by far one of the most magnificent views we've ever witnessed. We opted for the 7 night all-inclusive package (plus 4 additional nights). The package included being picked up (and driven back to) Naples Airport in a comfortable mercedes. Also included were two full day tours - one to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius and the second to the isle of Capri. Breakfast and dinner was included daily and we never had the same thing twice (unless we wanted it). The entire staff are more than accommodating and helpful in every way, and the food prepared by Chef Nicola was fantastic (his carbonara is to die for!!). We were so glad that we chose this hotel also as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy, albeit beautiful, nearby towns of Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and Sorrento to name a few (although, as others have said, all the towns along the coast are very easily accessible by either water taxi or local bus). It was delightful after a busy day of sightseeng, to return to the serenity of the Onda Verde. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this gorgeous part of Italy. It was hard to leave on check-out day. We hope to return!
“Beautiful scenery!”
Lovely hotel, with the parking area and main road at the top, conveniant elevator from this area to the reception. Sitting in the restaurant we had a beautiful view over the sea and the coast along to Salerno. The staff were helpful, kind. We had dinner 4 nights at the hotel.
This is a relaxing place, with a lot of interesting places to visit in the vicinity. It´s a good idea not to chose a very large car, since the roads are narrow and busy, and the hotel parking area is small.
“Beautiful setting on the Amalfi coast”
Hotel Onda Verde is perfectly situated for fabulous coastal views with a beach, bars and restaurants a short walk away. All staff were friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble for the reception and restaurant teams. We had a gorgeous room with our own terrace overlooking the hotels main sun terrace. Room was cleaned daily to an impeccable standard. Decor is traditional yet contemporary Italian with beautiful, tiled floors. Breakfast was gorgeous with usual continental selections plus freshly baked pastries which were delicious! Positano, Praiano and Amalfi are easily accessible, the bus stop is right outside the hotel although we took a water taxi to Positano which was great. I'd highly recommend this romantic hotel - we would go back tomorrow!
“Great spot to relax”
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in late April/ early May 2014. The hotel was beautiful and very unique built into the side of the cliffs. It was in close proximity to La Praia (beach) and the Famous Africana club. The views were amazing. The only thing was the weather wasn't fantastic (cool, cloudy and rainy) so it was difficult to fully enjoy the experience. We ate breakfast at the hotel daily and really enjoyed the variety. Praiano was perfect nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Positano and Amalfi but a short bus or cab ride away.
“Perfect spot on the Amalfi Coast”
We selected Hotel Onda Verde based on the reviews from Trip Advisor and we weren't let down. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the quiet Praiano which is a much more relaxing town compared to Positano and Amalfi. With the benefit of the Bus stop right outside the Hotel door and the option to buy bus tickets at reception makes the Hotel an easy and central location.
The Hotel staff are amazing and the restaurant is of a very high quality - Its hard to find anything wrong with this place. With-in a two minute walk (easy walk) you'll find a terrific little beach and some amazing little restaurants. I highly recommend this place.
“Absolutely Outstanding!”
We spent nine nights here in April. We had a terrace room that was very private. The views are spectacular from every part of the hotel. The property and rooms are immaculate. Family run hotel and they could not be more caring, helpful, and gracious. Breakfasts in the restaurant were wonderful in a beautiful setting whether you were inside or out. Everyone got to know Nicola, the chef, who made it his business to meet and satisfy everyone's' wishes. Parking at the hotel was a MAJOR plus! Praiano is a beautiful area, much quieter than Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano and only minutes away. Onda Verde is a slice of heaven and you could not be disappointed staying here. Thank you Milano family.
“Beautiful place, exceptionnal view”
My husband and I spend four days at Hotel Onda Verde and we loved it! Great location, beautiful hotel, friendly and very helpful staff (special mention to Fernanda at the reception!) and close by to numerous points of interest on the Coast. The little beach (Marina de Praia) is just few meters away and is so pittoresque! We would go back in a minute and we do recommend this hotel if you have the chance to visit Costa Amalfitana.
“Excellent stay in beautiful area”
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent three day stay at Onda Verde in April of 2014. This region of Italy is fantasticallly beautiful; in my opinion it rivals even the Cinque Terre. Our hosts at Onda Verde were gracious and helpful; that room was fabulous; the food: first rate. The breakfast was classic Italian and first-rate. We were at the hotel over Easter and probably received some extra-special pastries. The unseasonably cool weather did not dampen our time there. We enjoyed touring the coastal cities with a day trip to Capri. Highly recommended.
“Excellent”
Booked for 1 night but liked it so much that we ended up booking a further night's stay. Had a room with a shared terrace and loved it. Stunning views of the coastline for miles. Friendly service from everyone and really good restaurant serving great Italian food.
No swimming pool but i would rate this a lot higher than a lot of so-called 4 star hotels.
Great place to stay if you want fantastic views, great food and lots of peace and quiet.
“A Gem on Amalfi Coast - Must revisit!!!”
Ona Verde Hotel was just wonderful!! 10 stars if the rating went that high. Everything about our experience was special at this hotel. The staff and chefs were very accommodating, their service was beyond expectations, there were special touches frequently, we traveled with a one one-year old in our group of 8 and the staff just loved him. They will arrange very good and reliable transportation to the airport, you can purchase bus tickets at the desk as well as round trip tickets to Ravello. The food was just delicious and well presented, the pasta cooking class was memorable, the location was perfect. It is convenient to get to Positano for great shopping, Amalfi and Ravello by the coastal bus and the pick up location was in the parking lot of the hotel. Don't miss the ceramic shop in Ravello, Pascal Ceramic & Arte...very unique patterns and colors to what you will see in Sorrento, etc. Photos of celebrities who have shopped there are posted on the wall when you walk into the store. We all said we would return to OVH!! The hotel is right on the cliff and some hallways are built into the mountain. It's very clean and well kept, the grounds are landscaped well....it's just a delightful hotel and there are different spaces for you to relax and also umbrellas for shade. The guys rented a boat just a short walk to the little village and they spent 4 hours enjoying the coast. I will also send this recommendation to Rick Steve's Travel and Fodor's. Thank you OVH!
